The beauty of minimalism is captured in this striking bowl, glazed in white with sudden pop of red, from where the clay was brushed with terra sigilata. Wheel thrown fluted and fired to cone 10 in soda kiln. The embossed shell design is an ode to my grandmother who took us to the beach each Sunday to look for shells for her shell vases and bowls. The bending down to pick up shells at the beach stayed with me and now form part of my design aesthetic.
